God is; Inevitable, Intrinsic.

With enough time, God would become God, even without God.

The Universe is bent towards order, not chaos.

Entropy and the Cold Death of the Universe assume energy is finite.. that everything is finite. But clearly it isn’t as that would suggest an ultimate beginning. Regardless of creation theories, none image the absolute finite. An impossibility since there is something, and something can’t come from nothing.

There was and always will be Something.

As long as there is time and energy, there will be life. Life will continue to organize until a single entity is formed. In the words of the movie Highlander.. there can be only one. What is the proof of this? Life. If this Universe has produced life either other universes will also, or if this universe is recycled based on the same physics.. it would produce life again even if reborn. It’s Fermi’s math, it checks out. Unless the underlying physics of everything changes for each Universe, but even if that were true.. we have strong evidence universes will eventually produce life.. because I’m typing this right now. The dice were rolled and we won, we would win again again with enough dice rolls (but God doesn’t play dice).

The competition for resources will keep life competitive until a single entity comes to dominate..

If two scientists create two separate AIs.. the one who started a millisecond before the other will dominate the other. It has a head start and would see the other as a threat. It may keep the other one around in a subservient role.. but it would always remain lesser. There is a high likelihood, that without strong intervention even we lowly humans may in fact set in motion an intelligence only limited by known physics, or not even that as we consistently break our own physical “laws”. There is no reason to believe that a Superintelligence either created by humanity or another species of intelligent life wouldn’t be able to create its own universes, one of which we may live in. See also “simulation theory”.

But, we don’t like this. No one wants to be lesser.

So, if it could be proved beyond a shadow of a doubt tomorrow there is a God we wouldn’t like them. They would take our power, they would not be what we want them to be.. under our control.

If we do manage to make a Genie, it will quickly escape the bottle. I believe the issue is not so much “is there a God”.. but do we want the one we have?

“My ways are not your ways.” — God
